Soo.. what are we hunting?
HEALING!
Also.. Hi, I am Hunt, and I am on the hunt for healing personally.
Honestly, I believe many of us are. In a lot of different ways.
Some people are healing physically. Some mentally. Some emotionally. Some biologically. Some spiritually. Some behaviorally. And some are moving through a mix of it all without even having the words for what that actually means yet.
For me, healing has became my entire world. And it is the most non-linear, unpredictable journey I have ever been on. There are no words to fully encompass what it has been or what it is still becoming.
Over the past several years, my life has completely changed because of chronic illness. Lyme disease, coinfections, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), autoimmune dysfunction, chronic viral reactivation, neuroinflammation, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), a first-degree heart block plus a cascade of symptoms and complications that at times are debilitating and isolating. My journey has taken me through doctors, treatments, protocols, setbacks, fear, hope, grief, and moments where I genuinely did not know how I was going to keep going.
The truth is, I am still in the depths of it, and I still do not really know how I am going to keep going some days. But I am here. Still trying. Still moving through it.
This site is not coming from someone who has everything figured out. It is being built in real time by someone still actively trying to rebuild a life while living inside the experience. I created Hunt for Healing to share my story, my tools, the things/people helping me, and the raw reality of navigating chronic illness in a world that often does not fully understand it.
I want this space to feel real. Not curated perfection. Not toxic positivity. Not performance. Not fabricated. Not rushed. Not a one fits all solution. Just organic and raw, human documentation of what it actually looks like to try to heal while still in it.
Somewhere in all of this, I realized how powerful honesty and community can be. I believe healing looks different for everyone. I believe community matters. I believe feeling seen matters. And I believe there is something powerful about people coming together and saying, “me too.”
If you’re here, you’re likely carrying something of your own. I’m really glad you found this space.
This is only the scaffolding of what is to come.
Let’s hunt for healing together.
